Last night, May 22, 2018, the Whitney Museum hosted its annual Gala and afterparty. Those who attended the gala, which honored Joanne Leonhardt Cassullo, Beth Rudin DeWoody, and Lorna Simpson, enjoyed cocktails, dinner by Union Square Events, and a psychedelic backdrop by David Stark Design. But the shoes came off once the gala wrapped up and guests started flowing in for the Studio Party, the official after-party of the gala.

The Studio Party, which was sponsored by Audi, raises funds for the Museum’s mission of presenting groundbreaking exhibitions, award-winning education programs, and advancing the careers of some of the most innovative living artists of our time.

The Studio Party welcomed young patrons, emerging artists, collectors, and guests from the worlds of art, fashion, business and entertainment for an evening of cocktails, music and exhibition viewing. Guests included Benefit Committee Co-Chairs Hailey Baldwin and Jemima Kirke, as well as Shaun Ross, Sean Lennon, Dev Hynes, Lorna Simpson, Jillian Mercado, Rashid Johnson, and Tom Sachs.

Everyone’s phone was out in full force taking art selfies, capturing the ambiance, and using the hashtag #whitneystudioparty. Check out some of our favorite grams below.
