Last night, November 13, 2018 guests gathered at Highline Studios to celebrate the launch party for the KEITH HARING x ALICE + OLIVIA capsule collection featuring the work of late artist Keith Haring. Bendet, an avid art enthusiast, has a track record of collaborating with artists including Domingo Zapata, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Donald Robertson. When Bendet was designing the Resort 2019 collection, the primary pops of canary, cherry and cobalt featured heavily in the Resort collection, reminded her of Haring’s work.
“I have always been a fan of Keith Haring’s work—the colors and graphics,” says Bendet. “He was also one of the first artists to advance social causes and I think at this time in our world it’s especially important to support artists who have made a difference.”
Guests, which included Paris Jackson, Nicki Hilton Rothschild and Jessica Hart, enjoyed music by The Dolls, skate performances by Skate Kitchen’s Brenn Lorenzo, Jules Lorenzo, and Danielle Melendez, unlimited arcade games, custom cocktails by Absolut Elyx and Mumm Napa.
The Keith Haring x alice + olivia capsule collection includes a dancing figures print on a leather jacket, reversible bomber, cardigan, tees, ball gown skirts, a clutch and booties, and a patchwork print on a denim jacket, denim skirt, and jeans. The collection retails for $195- $1295.
