There’s no doubt that you’ve seen the inside of Annabel’s club in London on instagram, especially the well-known glamorous bathroom that makes for the perfect selfie. The original Annabel’s nightclub opened in 1963, and soon became the hotspot in London. Rubbing shoulders with Anna Wintour or Liz Taylor in the legendary Buddha Room was the norm.

Annabel’s still hasn’t lost its touch either. Following the opening of the new Annabel’s earlier this year at 46 Berkeley Square, Christie’s Auction House will host a landmark auction featuring over 250 lots of items from the old Annabel’s at 44, Berkeley Square.

Lot items include artworks, glassware, silver, vintage posters, furniture and permanent fixtures and fittings, and will be put up for auction through Christie’s Auction House on Tuesday 20th November. Um, sign us up for the ‘the red velvet
corner sofa!’

Offering unprecedented access to the normally private world of Annabel’s, the pre-sale public view will take place in-situ at 44 Berkeley Square from 16th to the 20th of November. Lot estimates range between £50 – £120,000 with the proceeds of two specific lots going to Annabel’s owner, Richard Caring’s, charity The Children’s Charity For The Good Of All Children.

The two charity lots include Christian Voigt’s last picture of the old Annabel’s in all its glory and a series of ten, framed black and white photographs by Richard Young of Annabel’s through the ages featuring a host of famous faces, and champagne glasses from the secret bar.
