This past Saturday, June 23, 2018, Storm King Art Center hosted its annual Summer Solstice Celebration. Guests were greeted with libations by Brooklyn Brewery, Tuthilltown Spirits, and Hudson Whiskey. After cocktails and an exclusive viewing of the 2018 exhibitions, Indicators: Artists on Climate Change and Outlooks: Elaine Cameron-Weir, partygoers made their way to their seats for a gourmet farm-to-table dinner in the fields by Michael Anthony, Executive Chef and Partner of Gramercy Tavern. Chef Anthony collaborated with Chef Shelley Boris of Fresh Company in Garrison, New York. Served family-style under the stars amid monumental sculpture, the dinner menu was inspired by the annual exhibitions and was followed by dessert and dancing.

The evening concluded with dessert, dancing, and a live musical performance by the Funk Junkies, a 13- piece band including a 5-piece horn section. Proceeds from the event benefit Storm King’s exhibitions and programs. Notable attendees included Pari Ehsan, Patrick Parrish, Alex Gilbert, Mark Rosen, and Chloe Wise.
