Last night, January 29, 2019, the Whitney Museum of American Art hosted its annual Art Party with co-chairs Kristen Cole of Forty Five Ten, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler, Natasha Lyonne, Michael Carl, and Micaela Erlanger. Art Party proceeds benefit the Whitney’s Independent Study Program and other education initiatives. This year’s fete was supported by Forty Five Ten, a first-time sponsor of the Whitney Art Party.

During the dinner, guests enjoyed DJ set by artist Andrew Kuo and a special performance by five-time Grammy-winning John Benitez Trio curated by and featuring Isaiah Barr of Onyx Collective. Following dinner guests made their way downstairs for the Art Party featuring a DJ set by Kittens.

It wouldn’t be a Whitney party if there weren’t a few notables there. Guests included Maddie Ziegler, Jessica Hart, Chelsea Leyland, Chloe Wise, Caitlin Keogh, Andrew Kuo, Lyle Ashton Harris, Juan Olivares, and Wes Gordon.

The Art Party is hosted by the Whitney Contemporaries, a group of young leaders and arts patrons who play an active role in fulfilling the Whitney’s critical mission of supporting American art.
