The art and fashion sectors are cross-pollinating more than ever and lifestyle boutique, Bandier, is embracing this synergy with its recent collaboration between active-wear retail labels and artists.
Inspired by new and emerging multimedia art showcased at Art Basel, Bandier launched three capsule collections that freshly pair forward-thinking active-wear brands with artists Christopher Lee Suavé, Upendo Taylor, and Malarko Hernandez, who relished the opportunity to express themselves in this novel medium.
Christopher Lee Sauvé worked with STRUT-THIS to design a 5-piece capsule inspired by primitive art and pop culture. Upendo Taylor and Reebok created a 7-piece collection of yoga gear inspired by New York energy and the power of movement and sound. London-based Malarko Hernandez produced original “monster” designs for Bandier which Ultracor laser printed on its Italian stretch fabric. The results of these partnerships are splashy and spectacular – the artists used sports bras, leggings, and jackets as printed palettes for animated art.
Express yourself artistically through movement and participate in Brandier’s #ActiveArt campaign.
