As a new mom, the thought of bringing my kids to an art fair makes me seriously anxious. From the uncomfortable glares because your stroller is in the way or no elbow room to actually look at the art, bringing kids to art fairs can be a struggle.

Much to my delight, The Affordable Art Fair recently announced Stroller Hours, a new program launching this spring for their New York edition. They’ve even partnered up with HEYMAMA, the global community for mothers in business, for Stroller Hours. Taking place on Saturday and Sunday mornings (March 30th and 31st) from 10am-11am, Stroller Hours will allow parents to discover art and shop with their little ones without the hassle before the fair opens to the public.

“The purpose of  Stroller Hours is to embrace our family-friendly atmosphere and make it even more easy and accessible for parents to navigate with their little ones. We want to show how much we appreciate their support; families are an important demographic for Affordable Art Fair NYC,” says Vanessa Seis, Fair Director. “There are so many businesses where families are not welcome, or strollers are either not permitted or seriously frowned upon.  We are the opposite; we want to cater to them and their needs. So, before we open to the public, we are opening to welcome parents with children and strollers. They can take over, and have all the space they need in a relaxed, carefree environment.”

The Affordable Art Fair New York Spring Edition opens March 28, 2019 and runs through March 31. You can purchase tickets here.
