1. Billy Sullivan: Love Letters at Rental Gallery

Rental Gallery will host an opening Reception on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m for Billy Sullivan’s Love Letters. The exhibition will remain on view through June 17, 2018. Sullivan has long described his work as “diaristic,” capturing the people around him who could include friends, artists, writers, models, or just randomly met strangers. 2. Pastime/Time Passed at Roman Fine Art

Roman Fine Art will host an opening reception on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition will remain on view through July 1, 2018 and features a selection of new work from Brooklyn-based artists, Lizzie Gill and Ciara Rafferty.

3. Salon on the Lawn at LongHouse Reserve

LongHouse Reserve will celebrate the arrival of summer with a benefit party and curated show of emerging artists over Memorial Day Weekend. Taking place on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. the event will feature live music, open bar, passed food, and an outdoor art installation. In case of rain, the event will be held on Monday, May 28, 2018.

4. Pollock-Krasner House Gallery Talk

The Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center will present “Louis Schanker: The WPA Years” through July 28, 2018. A reception and gallery talk with Greta Berman will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. Click here for event details.

5. Open Studio for Families at the Parrish Art Museum

Our favorite East End museum is hosting a tour of the galleries and family-friendly interactive activities. The event will take place on Saturday, May 26, 11 am-12:30 pm. The last tour and studio time starts at 12:30. Drop in sessions are limited to 30 minutes. Free with Museum admission. No advance registration required.
