Last night, High Line Art hosted its fifth annual High Line Art Dinner on the Diller – von Furstenberg Sundeck. A highly anticipated event, the dinner welcome over 200 luminaries of the art world and honored artist Carol Bove and founding supporter Donald R. Mullen, Jr.

Guests were welcomed with Casa Dragones tequila, specialty cocktails and a special activation by Max Hooper Schneider who to created two “bonsai preserves” in a biome with UV-reactive water dye and blacklights. Once the sun went down, Schneider’s pieces illuminated and served as the perfect backdrop throughout the evening. Guests kept warm with limited edition scarves created by artist Maurizio Cattelan.

Maurizio Cattelan has realized a limited edition that you will find on the back of your chairs: it’s a soccer fan scarf dedicated to the High Line that proudly states we have been “High Since 1934.”I must confess it was Robert who came up with this slogan, and I am not so sure what that says about the kind of plants we have been growing up here for the past ten years.”
