Our Road, Batik x Ikat=Modern Japanese Textiles by Ken Arai and Kiyo Masuyama

On behalf of leading Japanese dyeing artist Ken Arai and textile artist Kiyo Masuyama, we are pleased to announce you that their first overseas exhibition, called “Our Road” will be held at the Tenri Cultural Institute in Manhattan from June 21st to July 3rd, 2018.

This solo exhibit represents the culmination of the work of the renowned duo, both premier Japanese textile artists who have been active for over half a century. The works to be shown trace the dynamic contours of their careers, from their earliest works to their latest pieces created at the studio in their beloved Indonesian island of Bali.
