Katherine Hubbard’s “Bring your own lights” at The Kitchen

In this new body of work, photography, writing, and performance come together to place the mechanics and processes of analog photography in relation to new, possible narratives about cities, class, and image-making itself. One starting point is The Kitchen’s building, both its original function as an ice storage facility in service to an ice plant next door and its current uses.
