INK Miami Art Fair 2015
INK Miami Art Fair will celebrate its 10th anniversary with the first INK Miami Invitational, reflecting the fair’s emphasis on showcasing the vibrancy of printmaking as an artistic medium. INK Miami is unique among satellite fairs of Art Basel Miami Beach for its exclusive focus on works on paper. Founded in 2006 by the International Fine Print Dealers Association, INK Miami is anchored by IFPDA members, with each year’s exhibitor roster curated to present a diverse survey of 20th century masterworks and just-published editions by leading contemporary artists. Major highlights: ‘A World in a Box’ (2015) by Mark Dion, a suite of 27 prints; bold new print works, including lithographs by Faith Ringgold and Maria Tomesula, etchings by Emmi Whitehorse and Enrique Chagoya, and a polymer etching with chine collè by Carrie Mae Weems; a new work, ‘The Cottonwoods at Night’ (2015), a collagraph print by Jim Dine. A Preview Breakfast presented by IFPDA at the Dorchester on Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m. kicks off the fair. Hours are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 to 3 p.m.
