Reimagining the Image: Mary McCartney

Join us for a lecture and book signing with Mary McCartney, an acclaimed British photographer whose work focuses on intimate portraiture and candid reportage. ICP Executive Director Mark Lubell and McCartney will discuss the arc of her career, focusing on series such as Off Pointe, which captures unexpected, contradictory moments backstage with the Royal Opera House’s Corps de Ballet, as well as her latest book project, The White Horse.

Mary McCartney is an acclaimed British photographer whose work focuses on intimate portraiture and candid reportage. Her work has been shown in numerous exhibitions, including British Style Observed (National History Museum, London, 2008); From Where I Stand (National Portrait Gallery, London, 2010); and Mother Daughter (Gagosian, 2015), a collection of photographs exploring her relationship with her mother, Linda McCartney
