Art Basel Miami has officially kicked off. We know it can seem overwhelming, so we’ve narrowed it down for ya. Check out these 13 events happening in Miami this week. P.S. Most of these are invite only, but hey, we won’t fault you for trying.

1. Larry Gagosian and Jeffrey Deitch present:The Extreme Present.

Larry Gagosian and Jeffrey Deitch are pleased to present The Extreme Present, the fifth in their series of thematic exhibitions presented at the Moore Building in the Miami Design District during the December art week.

2. White Cube Off-site exhibition

White Cube is pleased to present an off-site exhibition by Cerith Wyn Evans (b. 1958, Wales), organized to coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach. Featuring sculpture and installation, highlights include the seminal neon work The Illuminating Gas… (after Oculist Witnesses) (2015).

3. The House of Suntory

The progressive House of Suntory ‘Tiny House’ is a transportable and elegant Japanese bar that is currently traveling to various locations around the U.S., where guests both inside and outside the structure are treated to the highest form of omotenashi, or Japanese hospitality. The unique and immersive experience highlights the next generation of Japanese spirits from the legendary Suntory brand – Toki Whisky, Haku Vodka and Roku Gin – while educating guests on the unique culture that inspired these spirits and the refreshing nature of the traditional Japanese highball cocktails.

4. Basement’s 5 Year Anniversary – M.N. Roy Mexico City Presents: Dramian, Unders Mandrake and Courtney Scott

Location: The Miami Beach EDITION, 2901 Collins Avenue

5. Desigual X Miranda Makaroff Sexhibition Cocktail Party

In this sexhibition, Miranda Makaroff (literally) introduces the spectator inside her universe – a universe in which there are no boundaries and in which we should be thankful to Eve. She was not the first sinner but the ultimate savior of a world of dullness; introducing humankind into the world of pleasure and true freedom.

6. VB88, Vanessa Beecroft Performance Curated by Neville Wakefield in Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Kappa’s ‘Omini’ Logo

Location: Lot 11 Skate Park, 348 NW 2nd Street

7. Lavazza x David LaChapelle

Gitano at Casa Faena will celebrate the 2020 Lavazza Calendar. This will be the second time David LaChapelle has worked with Lavazza on their “limited edition” calendar, shot on the beautiful island of Hawaii.

8. Art News x Surf Lodge at W South Beach

And Partners’ visual language will transform W South Beach’s WET Deck area from 9PM – 1AM where Surf Lodge, Art News and Swizz Beatz will host an after-party for 400 guests with music by DJ Cassidy, Mia Moretti and Isaac Likes.

9. PAMM Presents 

The evening will feature live music by Chicago-based soul singer Jamila Woods, special performances, and more on the museum’s waterfront terrace.

Hosted by Larry Ossei-Mensah and Amani Olu, the event will be honoring Franklin Sirmans, Director, Pérez Art Museum Miami. Presented by Barrett Barrera Projects.
