On Monday, the Bronx Museum<\/a> hosted its\u00a0annual benefit and auction, Wild Noise: Bronx\/Havana<\/a>. <\/em>The event took place at the Conrad hotel and guests enjoyed bites and dinner by Union Square Events. The evening honored Ella Fontanals-Cisneros,\u00a0<\/strong>founder of the Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, a non-profit which fosters understanding and appreciation of contemporary artists from Latin America,\u00a0Cristina Garc\u00eda,<\/strong> a Cuban-born American journalist and author of six novels\u2014including National Book Award-nominated Dreaming in Cuban, and most recently King of Cuba. Los Carpinteros,\u00a0<\/strong>a Havana-based collective formed by artists Marco Castillo and Dagoberto Rodriquez were also honored alongside\u00a0Ben Rodriguez-Cube\u00f1as<\/strong>,\u00a0the program director for the Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s New York City program.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
