You can add another name to the growing list of participants in the cannabis industry, artist Richard Prince. Prince recently announced the\u00a0debut of Katz + Dogg<\/a>, a cannabis brand he created with 710 Labs<\/a>.\u00a0Katz + Dogg will be available in flowers, vape pens, and pre-rolled joints at high-end dispensaries across America starting May 30, making Prince the world\u2019s first artist to have his own line of marijuana.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Katz + Dogg packaging features signature drawings from Prince\u2019s celebrated Hippie Drawing<\/em>s and High Times<\/em> paintings series. Inside, the products contain 710 Labs\u2019 Shire strain, alongside its Ice Cream Cake and OG.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cBest thing about the cannabis plant is how it brings people together. The fact that it brought us to working with such an iconic artist as Richard Prince is a blessing,\u201d said Brad Melshenker, 710 Labs founder.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Price\u2019s cannabis brand takes its name from John Dogg, one of Prince\u2019s known pseudonyms. Prince\u2019s desire to create a cannabis line dates back to at least 2005, when the first book of Hippie Drawings debuted.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u201cRichard\u2019s new drawings tapped into the excitement and innocence we wanted Katz + Dogg to reflect,\u201d said Joan Katz, a longtime friend of Prince\u2019s, and a collaborator on the project. \u201cJust as kids have a way of pulling you in, even when they\u2019re deep in their own creative thing, cannabis can aid in carving out your own headspace. But it\u2019s also inherently social, bringing all of us freaks together.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
