The evening\u2019s honorees were\u00a0Sanford Biggers, a visual artist whose work speaks to current social, political, and economic happenings while examining the contexts that bore them;\u00a0Karl Kellner, patron of the arts, Senior Partner, New York Office Managing Partner, McKinsey &amp; Company, Inc., and a former NYFA Board Member; and\u00a0Min Jin Lee, novelist of the best-selling books\u00a0<em>Free Food for Millionaires\u00a0and\u00a0Pachinko<\/em><i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The evening included cocktails, dinner and\u00a0a silent auction. Guests even received a\u00a0signed, limited-edition print by Biggers that was created exclusively for the event. Guests included\u00a0Tom Finkelpearl, Commissioner, New York City Department of Cultural Affairs;\u00a0Derrick Adams,\u00a0Samira Abbassy,\u00a0Debi Cornwall,\u00a0Phyllis Galembo,\u00a0Ekwa Msangi,\u00a0Rajesh Parameswaran\u00a0and\u00a0Dread Scott.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_32837\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-32837\" style=\"width: 822px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-32837\" src=\"http:\/\/artzealous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/04_NYFAHallofFame_19-e1555346477505.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"822\" height=\"548\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-32837\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Dread Scott, Sanford Biggers, and Derrick Adams<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The evening concluded with dessert and remarks from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyfa.org\/#_=_\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYFA<\/a> Executive Director\u00a0Michael L. Royce. \u201cI think everyone in this room knows that without artists many stories would not be known. Stories allow us to share who we are, what we\u2019ve experienced, and what we imagine.
