The American Museum of Natural History\u2019s Junior Council and its guests partied under a blue hue in the Museum\u2019s Milstein Hall of Ocean Life on Thursday night for its \u201cWinter Dance Underwater\u201d benefit event. Art Zealous joined the crowd of young professionals and philanthropists, who danced under the 94-ft. long \u201cgiant blue whale\u201d to a soundtrack by Harley Viera-Newton.<\/p>\n

The Junior Council, comprised of members between the ages of 22 and 45, supports the Museum in its mission to discover, interpret and disseminate \u2013 through scientific research and education \u2013 knowledge about human cultures, the natural world and the universe. A dinner preceded the dance in the historic Akeley Hall of African Mammals. Winter Dance Underwater raised essential funds for the Museum\u2019s scientific and educational programs.<\/p>\n
