The lowdown:\u00a0<\/strong>SPRING\/BREAK Art Show is an internationally recognized exhibition platform using underused, atypical and historic New York City exhibition spaces to activate and challenge the traditional cultural landscape of the art market, typically but not exclusively during Armory Arts Week.\u00a0In keeping with the 2019 theme, ‘FACT AND FICTION’, SPRING\/BREAK Art Show NYC will move to new quarters, inhabiting an entire floor of 866 UN Plaza at 48th Street and 1st Avenue. Akin to the theme, the show will be comprised of two sections, and feature 80+ projects.<\/p>\n

The Armory Show<\/a>,\u00a0<\/b>March 7\u201310<\/i><\/p>\n

Location: <\/strong>Pier 92 & 94<\/p>\n

The lowdown:\u00a0<\/strong>The Armory Show is New York City\u2019s premier art fair and a leading cultural destination for discovering and collecting the world\u2019s most important 20th- and 21st-century art. Staged on Piers 92 & 94, The Armory Show features presentations by over 200 leading international galleries, innovative artist commissions and dynamic public programs.\u00a0Note that some galleries are relocating because of structural issues with Pier 92, which hosts the event along with Pier 94. Those galleries will be moved to Pier 90, the home of its sister fair, Volta, which is being canceled.<\/p>\n

The lowdown:\u00a0<\/strong>Art\u00a0on\u00a0Paper returns to downtown Manhattan’s Pier 36 in March of 2018 with eighty galleries featuring top modern and contemporary paper-based art. Art on Paper’s medium-driven focus lends itself to significant projects – unique moments that have set the fair apart and established an important destination for the arts in New York City.<\/p>\n

The lowdown:\u00a0<\/strong>CLIO ART FAIR is a curated fair created with the idea of discovering independent artists and showcasing the careers and achievements of already affirmed creative minds. The CLIO ART FAIR’s primary goal is to create a space for direct dialogue between artists and collectors, artists and curators without the presence of any long-term mediator.<\/p>\n

The lowdown:\u00a0<\/strong>The 19th edition of SCOPE New York returns to its Chelsea location at Metropolitan Pavilion. Known for presenting groundbreaking contemporary work, SCOPE New York will welcome 60 international exhibitors at its centrally-located venue.<\/p>\n

The ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair, March 7-10<\/p>\n

From March 7-10, 2019 book lovers will find a fascinating treasure trove at the Park Avenue Armory.\u00a0Over 200 American and international dealers will exhibit at The ABAA New York International Antiquarian Book Fair, bringing a vast selection of rare books, maps, manuscripts, illuminated manuscripts and ephemera. The diversity of specialties includes\u00a0art, medicine, literature, photography, autographs, first editions, Americana, and much more.<\/p>\n
