Gala guests and patrons descended upon Bushwick, Brooklyn for a night of celebration marked by \u201ctropical-brutalist vibes,\u201d free-flowing tequila, and who&#8217;s who guest list. It was a night to remember, helping Creative Time to raise the essential funds to support public arts and the diverse voices and perspectives of artists everywhere.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30678\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30678\" style=\"width: 680px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30678\" src=\"http:\/\/artzealous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_4841-e1539613878249.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"680\" height=\"453\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30678\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Jon Neidich, Alessandra Brawn, Olivier Sarkozy, Mary-Kate Olsen, Pedro Reyes, Justine Ludwig, Alexandre De Betak, Sof\u00eda Sanchez de Betak, Photo by Mike Vitelli\/BFA.com.<\/span><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The gala kicked off at Bushwick\u2019s 99 Scott where dinner goers ushered in a new chapter for Creative Time under the guidance of Ludwig with a shot of tequila. Co-chairs Mary-Kate Olsen, Olivier Sarkozy, Jon Neidich (board chair), Alessandra Brawn, Alexandre De Betak, and Sofia Sanchez De Betak joined guests in custom cocktails by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maestrodobel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maestro Dobel<\/a> tequila and Mexican-inspired fare by chef Yann Nury. On-site, Reyes presented eighteen of his large-scale works on paper &#8211; five of which sold to benefit Creative Time. Ludwig invited <a href=\"https:\/\/www.athena-art.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Athena Art Finance<\/a> co-founder and CEO Andrea Danese to join her on stage to introduce the newly created Athena Art Finance Social Impact Award.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_30679\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-30679\" style=\"width: 708px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-30679\" src=\"http:\/\/artzealous.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/IMG_4842-e1539613985703.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"708\" height=\"472\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-30679\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><span style=\"color: #999999;\">Photo \/\/ Mike Vitelli\/BFA.com.<\/span><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After dinner, gala guests made their way to 53 Scott for the Creative Time After- Party; a Mexican fiesta inspired discotheque complete with hanging pi\u00f1atas and disco lights. Enrique Olvera\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cosmenyc.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cosme<\/a> served fresh tacos under multicolor string lights while Tulum-based <a href=\"https:\/\/grupogitano.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gitano<\/a> Sounds, JKriv, and Moullinex kept the crowd dancing.
