Art Los Angeles Contemporary<\/a>\u00a0(ALAC) returns for its ninth edition at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica from\u00a0January 25\u201328, 2018<\/span><\/span>. The fair will present a selection of over 60 established and emerging galleries from around the world, with a particular focus on galleries based in Los Angeles.\u00a0Participants for the 2018 fair will include international newcomers;\u00a0Galerie Antoine\u00a0Ertaskiran<\/a>\u00a0(Montr\u00e9al),\u00a0Instituto de Visi\u00f3n(Bogot\u00e1),\u00a0LAZY Mike\u00a0(Moscow),\u00a0Revolver<\/a>\u00a0(Lima) and\u00a0Vigo Gallery\u00a0(London).<\/p>\n

In its third year, the Freeways section returns with a unique roster of young galleries including\u00a0AA|LA\u00a0<\/a>(Los Angeles),\u00a0Club Pro\u00a0(Los Angeles),\u00a0Galerie Derouillon\u00a0(Paris), M. LeBlanc<\/a>\u00a0(Chicago),\u00a0Marinaro\u00a0(New York) and\u00a0Parker Gallery\u00a0(Los Angeles). Longstanding participants return to the fair this year with presentations from galleries including\u00a0Altman Siegel\u00a0(San Francisco),\u00a0Shane Campbell Gallery<\/a>\u00a0(Chicago),Ghebaly Gallery\u00a0(Los Angeles),\u00a0Jack Hanley\u00a0(New York),\u00a0Ibid\u00a0(Los Angeles),\u00a0David Kordansky Gallery\u00a0(Los Angeles),\u00a0Peres Projects<\/a>\u00a0(Berlin) and\u00a0Vermelho\u00a0(S\u00e3o Paulo).<\/p>\n

Los Angeles is experiencing tremendous growth as a cultural hub. From the success of the Getty’s PST: LA\/LA initiative (which you can read about here<\/a>) to the growth of the gallery scene and the openings of numerous cultural institutions, LA should be on your art radar.<\/p>\n
