Last night, the New Museum <\/a>continued its celebrations in honor of its 40th anniversary by packing the house with eager museum-goers who have been patiently waiting for the museum\u2019s fall exhibitions.<\/p>\n

The Museum presented \u201cAlex Da Corte: Harvest Moon\u201d as the debut installation in a new storefront window display in 231 Bowery. \u201cTrigger: Gender as a Tool and a Weapon,\u201d also opened alongside \u201cHelen Johnson: Ends\u201d in its Lobby Gallery, premiering a new series of paintings for the artist\u2019s first exhibition in an American institution. These exhibitions join \u201cKahlil Joseph: Shadow Play\u201d and \u201cPetrit Halilaj: RU\u201d which inaugurated the Museum\u2019s South Galleries, the first phase of the Museum\u2019s expansion into its adjacent building at 231 Bowery.<\/p>\n
