Escape Seattle’s rainy weather and get your art fix on the West Coast this summer at Seattle Art Fair<\/a>. If you happen to be in the Pacific Northwest from August 3 to August 6,<\/a> head over to the CenturyLink Field Event Center to experience an engaging array of artists and their vast range of expressive mediums.\u00a0In case you missed it, the Fair released their full programming schedule<\/a> last week. From intriguing\u00a0on-site projects to large-scale works by local artists, this year’s collection of solo projects and installations won’t fail to impress. We’re highlighting 5 of our favorite featured programs that should be on your radar:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1. Jenny Holzer’s\u00a0The Survival Series<\/em><\/p>\n

Seattle will host the\u00a0first installation of multiple works in a public urban setting from\u00a0Jenny Holzer\u2019s<\/b>\u00a0iconic\u00a0The Survival Series<\/i>\u00a0(1984), integrated into the architecture at Pioneer Square, the city\u2019s original neighborhood.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2. Nancy Rubin’s\u00a0Selection of Work\u00a0<\/em>Presented with the Gagosian Gallery<\/p>\n

Nancy Rubins<\/b>, whose monumental assemblages are typically presented formally in institutions such as the Museum of Modern Art,\u00a0will present a selection of studies of her large- scale sculptures at the fair.\u00a0She is presenting a meta-study of her work, scaled down for the viewer\u2014in her\u00a0work, 1 \u00bd inch equals 1 foot.<\/p>\n

3. Sean Townley’s\u00a07 Diadems\u00a0<\/em>Presented with Night Gallery<\/p>\n

Sculptor\u00a0Sean Townley<\/b>\u00a0will install his large floor-based sculpture,\u00a07 Diadems\u00a0<\/i>(2016), at the fair. Visitors will have the opportunity to interact with these boulder-size copies of partial head molds made from a monumental ancient sculpture of the Roman Juno.<\/p>\n

4. Dylan Mira and Erika Vogt’s\u00a0Pool<\/em><\/p>\n

Los Angeles-based\u00a0Dylan Mira<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Erika Vogt<\/b>\u2019s\u00a0Pool\u00a0<\/i>(2017) will transform Seattle\u2019s historic Union Station into a\u00a0multifaceted installation of sculpture, video and performance inspired by the train station itself as well as Korean spas, creating a space for rest and resistance for the public.<\/p>\n

5. Gerard & Kelly’s\u00a0Modern Living<\/em><\/p>\n

Gerard<\/b>\u00a0&\u00a0Kelly<\/b>\u00a0will host the world premiere of their new film,\u00a0Modern Living<\/i>\u00a0(2016-\u00a0<\/del><\/span>ongoing), a choreographic, two-channel installation at the fair. In conjunction with the installation, they will sit down with art historian Miwon Kwon to discuss their shared interest in performance, film, and architecture, and their evolving artistic practice.<\/p>\n
