Last night, the art world descended on The Museum of Modern Art to celebrate opening of The Armory Show and Armory Arts Week. The Armory Show is New York’s premier art fair and is in town until March 5th. The Armory Party, kicked off around 9:00 p.m. and featured access to many of MoMA’s exhibitions including A Revolutionary Impulse: The Rise of the Russian Avant-Garde and Francis Picabia’s: Our Heads Are Around so Our Thoughts Can Change Direction. The scene was quite fitting given that temperatures reached a high of 70 degrees. From drinks with tiny umbrellas to palm trees, we couldn’t help wonder if we entered a museum or a Miami night club.

The main event was a performance by St. Lucia who’s music is often described as “high-energy, artful pop.” Their performance did not disappoint, as they played favorites like “All Eyes On You” which was one of the many highlights of the evening. DJ Helado Negro also took the floor to keep the party going throughout the evening.
