Artist and filmmaker Laida Lertxundi presents the New York premiere of her film 025 Sunset Red<\/em> (2016), along with a survey of earlier films. Working in 16mm film, Lertxundi combines filmic records of people and places with a strong emphasis on sound and pop music, resulting in languid passages of cinematic language, bodily desire, and existential awareness.<\/p>\n

An exhibition of new work by L.C. Armstrong, will open on February 8th with a reception from 6 \u2013 8 pm. The exhibition will continue through March 4th. Comprised of twelve paintings and two works in neon Signals at Sunset continues Armstrong\u2019s explorations of the surreal and the hyperreal.<\/p>\n

For this exhibition, Michael Scott pairs new free standing sculpture with paintings, both of which continue to explore the conceptual aspect of optics the artist has worked with since the mid-1980s. Reception starts at 6 pm on February 9th. The exhibition is on view until April 2017.<\/p>\n

Pioneer Works is pleased to present WORK, E.S.P. TV\u2019s first institutional solo exhibition in the United States. Directed by Victoria Keddie and Scott Kiernan, E.S.P. TV is best known for their live television tapings that feature experimental broadcast collaborations with underground poets, musicians, and artists via their mobile television studio.<\/p>\n

Fort Gansevoort is pleased to announce an exhibition of recent work by Scott McFarland, which will occupy Fort Gansevoort\u2019s three-floor exhibition space from February 11 – March 11, 2017. The exhibition includes McFarland\u2019s Sky Leaks; eleven photographs of clouds displayed in LED light boxes, and the durational photo\/video installation Shattered Glass, a view of a winter landscape through a broken window.<\/p>\n
