On Wednesday night, El Museo del Barrio hosted its annual fundraising benefit, Disco de Los Muertos at the newly opened Dune Studios. The sold out event hosted over 400 guests and raised over $25,000 dollars for the museum’s arts education and public programs.

From fashion editors to art elite, everyone came out to celebrate and enjoy bites, cocktails and beats by DJ Mickey Perez. The evening also included an art installation by Hector Madera, a performance by Ayana Evans– former El Museo Artist in Residence – and hybrid projections by Lionel Cruet. In addition, the Fortoul Brothers, in partnership with Don Julio, created special hand-painted capes that were given to guests.

Our eyes were on the fashion. Disco pants to glitter shoes, guests brought their A game in the fashion department, which was partly due to the fact that this year’s event was inspired by the museum’s current exhibition, ANTONIO LOPEZ: Future Funk Fashion, which explores the life and legacy of the late famed fashion illustrator and artist Antonio Lopez, and his creative partner Juan Ramos.

So without further ado, our picks from best dressed.
