Yoko Ono, whose catalog of artwork is largely interactive and participatory, is at it once again. Ono has issued a Call for Women to contribute to \u201cArising,\u201d her upcoming work at the Reykjavik Art Museum in Iceland, on view Oct. 7, 2016 to Feb. 5, 2017.<\/p>\n

The artist has famously asked audience members to physically cut her clothes off (Cut Piece<\/em>), walk across her canvas (Painting to Be Stepped On<\/em>), be photographed demonstrating their love (Time To Tell Your Love<\/em>) and tie their wishes to a tree (Wish Tree for Washington, DC<\/em>).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This time, she calls for \u201cwomen of all ages, from all countries of the world\u201d to send a testimonial about harm that was committed against her because of being a woman. The installation will demonstrate difficulties that women around the world face on a regular basis.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
