Art Zealous\u00a0caught up with The Most Famous Artist to chat about LA, mural marketing, and his creations.<\/p>\n


\nArt Zealous: What is the concept behind \u201cThe Most Famous Artist\u201d?
\nThe Most Famous Artist: <\/strong>Andrew Warhola became Andy Warhol to make his art. Matty Mo has become The Most Famous Artist.\u00a0 It’s just a name.<\/p>\n

AZ: Favorite spot in Los Angeles?<\/strong>
\nTMFA:<\/strong> I find myself happily oscillating along the 10 freeway between my studio in The Arts District and a beach house in Malibu.<\/p>\n

AZ: Top art Instagrams to follow?<\/strong>
\nTMFA:<\/strong> @Love.Watts<\/a> was the first that caught my attention. \u00a0@stefansimchowitz<\/a> is good if you want a better understanding of the changing art market.\u00a0\u00a0There are so many now it’s hard not to find them if you are looking.<\/p>\n

AZ: You\u2019ve said, \u201cArt is the most powerful communication medium known to mankind\u201d \u2013 please elaborate on that idea.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TMFA<\/strong>: I’ve said it, but usually I am just repeating something smart I read somewhere.<\/p>\n

AZ: What\u2019s the most impactful piece you\u2019ve done so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

TMFA: <\/strong>The $100k dollar art object series really made me feel something.<\/p>\n

\nAZ: What inspires you to sometimes use logos and brands as part of the design in your artworks?<\/strong><\/p>\n

TMFA:<\/strong> It was an instinctual reaction to my environment. We live in a world augmented by technology and advertisements.\u00a0 I brought that into my art.<\/p>\n


\nAZ: How do you view the relationship between social media influencers and the art business?<\/strong><\/p>\n

TMFA<\/strong>: Influencers have democratized the long-tail of art.\u00a0 You no longer need a gallery to make a living as an artist. And, I think that is a good thing.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

AZ: Please tell us about \u201cmural marketing\u201d as an effective way to drive awareness to an artist.<\/strong><\/p>\n

TMFA:<\/strong> People want to take pictures to share. Murals provide that opportunity.<\/p>\n

AZ: What can we expect to see from you in the future?<\/strong><\/p>\n
