Art Zealous founders, Kristina Lopez and Adrian Adduci, celebrated magical nuptials this past weekend in true art aficionado fashion, at the Parrish Art Museum in Watermill, New York.

Art brought these love birdies together – on one of their first dates, Lopez and Adduci attended a James Jean show and after realizing their shared love of art, they began puttering around to art fairs and galleries and eventually started collecting art together.

Once the couple became engaged, they wanted to incorporate art into the wedding somehow and knew the destination should be in the Hamptons, where Adduci is from, so Lopez and Adduci narrowed down the wedding venue hunt to the Longhouse Reserve, Nova’s Ark, and the Parrish Art Museum. The dynamic duo decided on the Parrish Art Museum because they were inspired by the natural setting and artistic life of Long Island’s East End as well as Herzog De Mueron’s modern and sleek architecture. The Parrish Art Museum is known to illuminate the creative process and how art and artists transform experiences; the venue certainly illuminated and transformed Lopez and Adduci’s special day by bringing a chic, modern, and unique feel to the evening, capturing the ethos of their relationship.

Guests arrived at the Parrish Art Museum at 5pm on Saturday where they were greeted with cocktails and company before heading inside the museum. The ceremony was held in the main lobby gallery which has never been done before; guests sat facing floor to ceiling windows where the bride and groom stood and exchanged sweet, humorous, and thoughtful vows.

After the ceremony, wedding guests glided down a long sidewalk outside the museum where they snagged seating cards off of the wall, accompanied by a wonderful watercolor painting created by the groom’s sister.

Just as the sun was setting, family and friends congregated outside on an exquisite patio overlooking Lopez and Adduci’s favorite vineyard, where they were offered wine sourced from the adjacent vineyard, custom cocktails, as well as delicate hors d’oeuvres like fried chicken bites served on flavorful watermelon squares. A four-course, lavish dinner was served on two long tables, beautifully set with modern slate place mats, simple green shrubbery, and small, white bouquets of hydrangeas. The dinner menu impressed even the savviest foodies.

Once the delicious meal concluded, guests danced outside to a spectacular, soulful band who played roaring tunes well into the starry night. Those who were still partying on headed to their house in nearby Southampton for an after-party that included Chik-fil-a and roast pork.
