Vicki DaSilva "Lumen Lineation" Closing Reception + 2018 Garment District Arts Festival at SL Gallery

SL Gallery is excited to participate in the 15th annual Garment District Arts Festival for the 2nd year. As part of the kick off celebration for the event, Vicki DaSilva will create on-site time-exposure light painting portrait photographs entitled “Light Hug” in front of the Gallery at 335 W 38th Street on Thursday, October 18th from 7:00-9:00pm. Participants can expect to be wrapped in light as Vicki uses her signature tool of an eight-foot fluorescent lamp to create these portraits in under two minutes. Stop by, celebrate the closing of her current solo show “Lumen Lineation,” have a glass of wine and get your Light Hug photo taken.

The Garment District Arts Festival is a district-wide recognition of the artists, crafters, galleries, and theaters that contribute to the creative energy that fuels this authentic New York neighborhood. As part of the festival, SL Gallery will be open to the public during the following special hours: Thursday, October 18th from 6:00-9:00pm, Friday, October 19th from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday, October 20th from 12:00-4:00pm.
