Tim Cantor: Sweet Favour & Fiend at AFA

AFA Gallery is delighted to announce that its summer exhibition will be a solo show featuring works by Tim Cantor. The exhibition will take place simultaneously in New York and Las Vegas. This is Cantor’s inaugural show at AFA.

Sweet Favour & Fiend will feature original paintings, concept drawings, writings, and limited edition prints by Tim Cantor. The pieces showcase Cantor’s mastery of color and detail. This collection of work gives us a glimpse of Cantor’s inner self-the places where his thoughts wander as he works alone in his studio throughout the night. Sweet Favour & Fiend exposes that which Cantor both fears and reveres. With this collection, Cantor blurs the line between dark and light, leaving the viewer to his or her own impression.

Tim Cantor is a California native, born in 1969. His career blossomed from an early age. He began painting with oil at age five. At age fifteen, one of his oil paintings was acquired for the White House permanent collection. Cantor prefers to paint during the stillness and silence of the night, alone with the imagination that comes to life in his work. He is well known for his work with the band Imagine Dragons, with whom he has been on tour recently.

Tim Cantor will attend the opening reception. He will be available on Saturday for a book signing of his book, Tim Cantor: Paintings and Writings. The book is available for purchase at AFA gallery. Please contact the gallery at pr@afanyc.com to arrange press appointments with the artist.
