Plant Healing with Zizia and Sun Song

Herbalist Abbe Findley of Zizia and plant communicator Saewon Oh of Sun Song join forces to host an afternoon celebrating the healing potential of plants. Their program responds to both contemporary consumer habits and excess as examined by artist Maryam Jafri and her exhibition I Drank the Kool-Aid But I Didn’t Inhale (now on view at ICA LA), as well as the urban extremes found in Los Angeles’ Arts District.

Abbe will launch an exclusive product All Flowers Hand & Foot Balm—a multipurpose balm made with medicinal plants to soothe and soften the skin. Proceeds from sales will go toward funding her project Street Feet LA: a free mobile foot care service that operates in different locations around downtown LA’s Skid Row community. All Flowers Hand & Food Balm provides therapeutic relief from the intensity of city life.

Saewon will also launch an exclusive product—Remember Us—on the occasion of ICA LA’s event. Remember Us is a chickweed-based flower aromatic essence, intended to provide emotional and energetic support by reinforcing our connections to the earth, our bodies, the wilderness, the present moment, and our innate instincts as we navigate intense urban environments rife with sensory overload.

Program attendees will enjoy Hibiscus Prickly Pear Cool Down & Flower Essence Spritzes provided by the artists.
