One Art Space is pleased to present this one-of-a-kind exhibition that depicts the development of street art throughout history and its present and future. Aims to bring awareness to graffiti’s progress throughout history, sharing the story of its humble beginnings to its elevation to phenomenon status within the art world. Street art emerged from the urban spaces, an unofficial and independent visual art intended for public consumption. It embraces and evokes emotions surrounding social and political issues, bringing awareness through a unique and unfettered medium. “In Time” Graffiti & Street Art Exhibit The Letter Science highlights artists’ visions, development, and inspiration. The exhibit “In Time” Graffiti & Street Art Exhibit The Letter Science, which hones in on the evolution of mix mediums with subculture complexity and ranges of lexicon tagging, lettering, throw up, and characters as public art within the social construct represented of “In Time”. Submerged into our curated exhibition of street and graffiti art of assembly of explosive yet embracing an array of color palettes.
The Ebony Dukes are pioneers of street art and are featured in a documentary titled “Rubble Kings,” produced by Jim Carrey. All the panelists will discuss their inspirations and share tales of interesting excursions they have experienced on their journeys as graffiti writers. Guests will learn how graffiti has developed over the years from more than just tagging names to a sought-after and revered art form that has opened the door to opportunity for many artists.
Guests will hear from George “Sen-1” Morillo, Tony “Hektad” Roberts, Al Diaz, Staff 161, and special guests as they host panel discussions about the evolution of graffiti from hip-hop and knowing oneself. Featured artist Colette Miller will bring her interactive public art display, Global Angel Wings Project, to the exhibit for display. The Global Angel Wings Project was launched in 2012 in Los Angeles. Its mission, according to Miller, is to remind humanity that we are angels of the earth. The human-sized wings will be available for attendees to pose with and capture photographs of the experience.
