The University of La Verne College of Law is proud to announce a reception celebrating the opening of its current exhibit Deeply Uncompromising: 125 Year of Mission. The reception will be held September 27th from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the College of Law’s gallery on 320 East D Street, Ontario, California.

In recognition of the schools 125th Anniversary, this show features work on loan from the Self Help Graphics & Art archive of serigraph prints that emulates some of the values the school holds steadfast and attributes to its own personal growth intertwined with some of the recent political labors our Nation has seen. The University of La Verne has a “history of non-violent protest and civil disobedience valuing an individual personal conscious guided by an inner light.” This show offers a look into these values held by the University and its mentors, and provides an artistic rendition of historic value.

Since its inception in 1891, the University has been a force of change just as these artists have been, applying the power of education and artistic imagination to inform, inspire, engage, animate, and motivate social action.

Returning curator, Conchi Sanford is an instructor of Art at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa and a visual artist living in North Pomona, California. She has curated multiple exhibits in the Inland Empire, greater LA area and Orange County, among other venues; bringing together multiple emerging and well-established artists under a cohesive theme. The gallery hosts two to three exhibits a year, opening the exhibits to both the legal and general communities.
