Artist POV Tour: Sarah Rara Exhibition ProgramsTours

Artist Sarah Rara is known for multi-disciplinary work that combines performance, writing, sound, and video to elaborate on such themes as power, consumption, choice. Rara will lead an Artist POV Tour of Patty Chang’s The Wandering Lake 2009-2017 and elaborate on her own artistic exploration of the relationship with humans, the witnessing of fragile systems, and technology.

 

Sarah Rara is a Los Angeles-based artist working with video, sound, and performance. She is a contributing member of the ongoing project Lucky Dragons. Her work, solo and in collaboration, has been presented at such institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art (as part of the 2008 Whitney Biennial), the Hammer Museum, Documenta 14 in Athens, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, London’s Institute for Contemporary Art, PS1 in New York, REDCAT and LACMA in Los Angeles, MOCA Los Angeles, the 54th Venice Biennale, and the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, among others.
