Andrew Thiele, Used & Abused at One Art Space Opening

Andrew Thiele’s debut solo exhibition “Used & Abused,” opening Wednesday, March 23rd at 7PM at One Art Space in Tribeca, presents the city of New York with the grit and patina the artist has watched mostly recede since coming here in the 90s. Presenting 20 new and never-before-seen paintings, this exhibition marks a major change in trajectory, albeit highly premeditated, from his accomplished work with his creative agency. Experimentation with materials both low brow and high brow cast a wide net of references both personal to the artist and also fitting for the urban sprawl, as the extreme polarities of city life are highlighted in the mixture of disparate yet purposefully-chosen materials.
