2018 Open Competition Opening Reception

The Alfred Berkowitz Gallery at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is proud to present the juried exhibition for its 2018 Open Competition. This exhibition showcases and celebrates forty-four Michigan artists and displays artwork in a wide variety of media and styles including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, collage, glass, and mixed media works. The Berkowitz is pleased to support and encourage Michigan artists with this annual exhibition and share these remarkable works with the campus and greater community.

Renowned local artist and educator Jan Brown served as the juror for this year’s competition. Jan Brown will speak and present the awards at the opening reception.
