New Jersey-born artist KAWS, otherwise known as Brian Donnelly, is no stranger to blurring the lines between fine art and commercial art. In addition to being an accomplished painter and sculptor, the artist also makes limited edition toys and items of clothing. Every time he releases a new product, it sells out faster than you can say “Mickey Mouse,” so if you’re looking for an addition to your closet that’s marked with his signature “XX,” get ready to mark your calendar.

KAWS’ capsule collection with Air Jordan launches on March 28 in China and March 31 everywhere else and includes limited edition suede Air Jordan 4 sneakers, a black satin coach’s jacket, a black hoodie and t-shirt, and a five-panel cap. According to Gemo Wong, Senior Design Director for Special Projects at Jordan Brand, “Street art defies the traditional art canvas and can live anywhere. We look at our footwear design through the same lens, as an artistic expression on the streets. With KAWS, we create new connections and push the boundaries of our design thinking.”
