Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture 2017 Awards Dinner

Now in its 46th year, Skowhegan’s annual Awards Dinner will raise funds to support their venerable artist residency program. The evening will honor Jack Whitten, The Studio Museum in Harlem and William T. Williams, and The Pollock-Krasner Foundation and its Chairman and CEO, Charles C. Bergman. Highlights of the evening will include a musical presentation by Metropolis Ensemble, which is inspired by John Cage’s 1967 instructional piece Musicircus. Described as anything together and all at once, the performance will feature musicians playing instruments including a cactus, thermins and toy organ throughout the cocktail. There will also be a flower cart by Saipua, selling bouquets to be delivered following the event.
