PIERRE BONNEFILLE TO EXHIBIT “BRONZE PAINTINGS” SERIES AT LIAIGRE

LIAIGRE has partnered with artist, Pierre Bonnefille on an exclusive exhibition of “Bronze Paintings” — an idea that explores different techniques consisting of placing a fine metallic framework on top of a tightly stretched canvas and then adding a bronze powder diluted in a binder of gold or silver foil creating a variety of intriguing surfaces and textures with luminous shades and subtle highlights.

Pierre Bonnefille likes to refer to landscape, observing the surface of the water to that of stones, leaves, soil and sand… In his workshop, he conserves these elements of nature like so many treasures: cases of insects with iridescent elytra, minerals and ores, treasures that breathe color and precious subtle materials.
