In Practice: Another Echo at SculptureCenter

Curated by SculptureCenter’s 2018 Curatorial Fellow Allie Tepper, In Practice: Another Echo,brings together the work of fourteen artists engaged in reshaping experiences and forms of public space through presence. The exhibition will feature newly commissioned works by:Elena Ailes & Simon Belleau, Nobutaka Aozaki, Cudelice Brazelton, Priyanka Dasgupta & Chad Marshall, Carey Denniston, Jules Gimbrone, Baseera Khan, Juliana Cerqueira Leite, Courtney McClellan, Jon Wang, Carmen Winant, and Lachell Workman.

Since 2003, SculputreCenter has presented new work by more than 180 artists through SculptureCenter’s In Practice (IP) annual open call program for emerging artists. The program exemplifies the spirit of SculptureCenter’s mission by providing fresh talent with an opportunity to challenge the way that contemporary art is understood, and explore how sculpture can intersect with architecture, film, painting, performance, photography, sound, video, and new emerging media.
