A Blade of Grass, Gala: Night of Alchemy
A Blade of Grass (ABOG), the first arts organization dedicated exclusively to socially engaged art, will host
their third annual benefit gala, Night of Alchemy, on November 7, 2017.
Taking place at The Prince George Ballroom, the benefit gala will be hosted by distinguished Co-chairs
Annette Blum, Michael Quattrone, and Shelley Frost Rubin, and will include a specialty cocktails hour,
dinner, and award ceremony recognizing leaders in the field of socially engaged art, led by artist Shaun
Leonardo as Master of Ceremonies.
This year A Blade of Grass will honor Ross Bleckner, Artist and Past President of Community Research
Initiative on AIDS; Anne Pasternak; Shelby White and Leon Levy Director of the Brooklyn
Museum; and Risë Wilson, Founder, The Laundromat Project and Director of Philanthropy, Robert
Rauschenberg Foundation; for their longstanding commitments to social justice and groundbreaking work
at the intersection of art and social change.
